We took a train from Rimini to Milan, and were there for two nights. Milan was a grand and impressive city, without very many main attractions. But it was very picturesque.

...and roof gardens...
...and bicycles.
It rained on my birthday, and it was a Sunday and even the grocery stores were closed. We couldn't find an Italian restaurant open, so we ordered pizza from a kebab shop. A couple days later when we were in Florence, we had a perfect day and decided that was my birthday.
